Here are some general guidelines for new stories:

• The editors do not have enough time to spell check and grammar check every story. Please, take the time to run your story through a spell checker before submitting your story.
• A good rule of thumb is that reading your story out loud will help you to pick up on the major mistakes.
• Only the html tags listed are allowed in story text. No HTML is allowed in "title" or "dept."
• You must preview at least once. Please read over your story carefully.
• Check all URLS!
• Check all your facts!
• This site is community-edited (mostly), so don't whine to the admins if your story doesn't get posted. If you're logged in, you'll see a "Moderate Submissions" link to the right. This is how you decide what gets posted here! Use it!
• Joystick101.org's staff is made up of volunteers, so the more work you put into your story, the more likely it will be posted quickly. If it requires major revisions, edits, or fact checks, there's a good possibility the story's release will be delayed or dropped.
